Harahan Habitat

An anesthesiologist moved from the French Quarter to a cottage-style house with a lush backyard enveloped in nature. Since the client loved to read and cuddle with their rescued cats, we needed the space to be both comfortable and pet-friendly.

The Goal

We set out to create a serene escape that captured both the client's and her partner’s unique styles in the interior landscape. We tapped into her love of vibrant colors, rare art, and unique rugs to curate a balanced experience.

From the Client

“I have been working with Tanga over several years. She helped me create a home that is relaxing and comfortable with a lot of “wow.” She brings things together using what you already have in a way you never considered and finds the pieces you need to finish the look. She listens and is a delight to share the task of redefining your space. My husband's first word is usually "no,” but he admits that he loves everything that Tanga has done in our house. Many thumbs up. I wouldn't dream of starting a project without her.”

Merging Designs from East to West

Throughout the home, we incorporated elements that reflected both her femininity and East Coast upbringing as well as more masculine features and pieces that reflected his West Coast aesthetic.
